By Gabino Iglesias
I had been seeing folks post about this book quite a bit on Threads, so I thought I’d check it out. It was well-worth my time.
Iglesias has written a twisted, dark, and challenging story, but in all the very best ways. We follow a group of sordid down-on-their-luck killers through the underbelly of the Texas and Mexico drug scene. We move back and forth between English and Spanish (part of the challenge), and are left guessing up to the very last page.
Gabino Iglesias is a writer, professor, book reviewer, editor, and translator living in Austin, TX. He is the author of Zero Saints and Coyote Songs and the editor of Both Sides.
