About

It’s been a long and winding road . . .

I’ve benefited from a wide-ranging and nontraditional career path. I’ve told stories as a journalist and managed a team of creatives, spent 15 years as an entrepreneur, and am currently an IT leader at a Fortune 500 company.

For my next chapter, I’m looking to channel all those experiences into telling stories about real people struggling with the modern human condition.

I completed three award-winning screenplays in 2022-23, including:

Faithful Intentions: A TV drama pilot that deals with addiction, a loss of faith, and the chasm between the rich and poor.

Madness: A dark-comedic feature that takes place at the intersection of amateur athletics, social media, NIL, sports gambling and corporate-American greed.

Center of the Universe: A comedic short about a stranger who interrupts a birthday celebration at an AA meeting.

My first novel, Bicentennial Summer, is a YA coming-of-age love story set in 1976 small town America. It is the first book of the Cottonwood Chronicles trilogy, and it published on Amazon’s Kindle platform in 2024.

Book two, Burning Summer, will be available in Fall 2025. The untitled conclusion to the Cottonwood Chronicles trilogy will publish late 2026.

I live just outside my hometown of Omaha with my wife, Sue, our two kids, and our two rescue dogs, Kira and Thea. If you’re ever in the neighborhood, stop by for a chat.
