Parks and Death: A Tegan Reese Mystery by Shelly Nosbisch is a delightful debut cozy mystery that kept me guessing until the very end.
The story follows Tegan Reese, a jilted lover who unexpectedly finds herself at the center of a murder investigation when her ex-fiancée is found dead. Set against the backdrop of a Nebraska state park—which almost feels like a character itself—Tegan must navigate a tangled web of suspects and secrets to uncover the truth.
With twists, turns, and a strong, relatable female protagonist, this is a satisfying who-done-it, and I’m excited to see where Nosbisch takes Tegan next.
Four stars.
